Lefkada & Paleros are situated in the West Coast of Greece, at a distance of only 20km from each other. From Paleros you can easily reach Lefkada island crossing the small bridge that unites Lefkada island to the mainland. There are many ways for you to reach the area, either flying or driving. You can choose the one that is best suited for you:

By airplane

The nearest airport to both Lefkada & Paleros is that of Preveza-Aktion (PVK). You can check these charter flights for more:

By car

  • A. from Athens: If you are visiting Greece from abroad you will most likely arrive at Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos (ATH). On that point you have the options to either take a bus, or hire a LOCAL taxi through us. Distance: 340 km by bus: From the Airport take the city bus (X93) or a taxi (taxi fare is about 30€) to the Athens Long Distance Bus Terminal ‘KTEL’ (Address: Kifissou st. 100, T: +30 210 5124910 – 11) from where buses depart for Lefkada & Paleros. We suggest to take the more frequent bus to Lefkada (check their site HERE. In case you want to stop for Paleros, the same bus passes from Vonitsa (a town that neighbours Paleros, distanced just 19 km away) where you make a stop.. and we can pick you up, cost- 15.00 per ride. Bus trip duration: ~5.00′ hours (including the 20′ brake along the road) Price around 40.00€ one way. By taxi: – – we can hire for you a taxi that will pick you up at 1. Athens airport and bring you to the area of Lefkada and Paleros. Taxi trip duration: ~4.00′ hours (cost ~70€ per person) 2. Athens Center (cost ~50€ per person) Please note that the drivers are from Lefkada and they depart from Athens until 16.00, after that time perhaps they will not be available!
  • B. from Southern Greece (Patras): If you are driving from Southern Greece the standard route to the area of Lefkada & Paleros is via Patras, Rio, Antirio, Mesologgi, Agrinio, Amfilochia and Vonitsa. Following this road and just before the city of Agrinio you will have the opportunity to experience the recently completed 30 km section of the new Ionian highway. However, we propose to try a slightly different route that, despite some low speed bends, will reward you with views of exceptional beauty: in Mesologgi, rather than continue to Agrinio, turn towards Astakos and follow the coastline to Paleros, via Mesologgi, Astakos and Mytikas, that overlooks the Ionian Sea and several islands. From here you are at 20km to Lefkada Island. We highly recommend this route! Distance: 165-185 km Trip duration: ~2.30′ hours
  • C. from Northern Greece (Thessaloniki): If you are driving from Northern Greece we highly recommend the Egnatia Highway. You can reach Ioannina through the Egnatia Highway and follow the route Ioannina-Preveza-Vonitsa-Paleros-Lefkada (distance from Ioannina to Lefkada & Paleros is about 150-170 km).
